CPM Advertising Policy

This page explains how impression-based advertising may work on the site and what readers, advertisers, and crawlers should understand about CPM ad placements.

What CPM Advertising Means

CPM means cost per mille, or cost per thousand ad impressions. In simple terms, an advertiser or ad network may value an ad placement based on how many times an ad is loaded or viewed, rather than only when someone clicks. This model is common on content websites because it supports free access to articles, guides, and comparison pages.

On this site, CPM advertising may be handled by third-party ad networks, direct ad partners, or future display-ad tools. CPM ads do not change the purpose of our pages. A guide about cookie prices, delivery fees, calories, or boxes should remain useful even if ads are shown around the content.

CPM Ad Placement Principles

CPM placements should not intentionally mislead readers into clicking ads, cover the main content, imitate navigation, or make policy pages difficult to read. We aim to keep important elements such as headings, breadcrumbs, tables, FAQs, and contact details visible and accessible.

We may test placement density, but reader experience comes first. If a placement causes layout shift, slows down a key page, or makes the content feel crowded, it should be adjusted. Strong search performance depends on useful content, clean technical behavior, and trust, not aggressive ad loading.

Traffic Quality and Invalid Activity

We do not encourage artificial impressions, automated ad views, click exchanges, paid click schemes, bots, or any behavior intended to inflate ad metrics. Readers should click an ad only if they are genuinely interested in the advertiser's offer.

Any suspicious traffic pattern may be reviewed through analytics, hosting logs, ad-network reporting, or other available tools. If needed, we may block sources, remove placements, or pause ad units to protect the site and advertisers from invalid activity.

Reporting and Earnings Limits

CPM rates can change based on traffic source, country, season, page topic, advertiser demand, device type, ad viewability, and ad-network rules. We do not guarantee a fixed CPM, revenue level, fill rate, or placement result to advertisers or partners unless a written agreement states otherwise.

Performance data from analytics and ad platforms may not match perfectly because each system measures impressions, sessions, filtered traffic, and user consent differently. We use reporting as a guide, not as a promise that every ad request will produce revenue.

Separation From Editorial Content

CPM advertising is separate from editorial planning. We do not create thin pages just to increase ad impressions. New articles should have a real reader purpose, a clear search intent, and a useful relationship to the broader Crumbl menu-price topic cluster.
